Breech Baby

You are 34-37 weeks pregnant and your baby is in the head up position, and you would like to encourage baby to turn head down.  I use cupping massage, positioning, Mexican rebozo techniques, and moxibustion to help turn the baby. I will provide you with information and techniques to try at home. I will also provide two moxa sticks for home use.

If your baby has not turned, and you opt for an ECV, a Breech Baby appointment before the ECV to encourage relaxation can improve the likelihood of success.

Baby Come Out (Over Estimated Due Date)

If you are in your 41st week of pregnancy and your baby has not yet decided to come, I can help you to encourage labour to start, help you to relax and ensure that your baby is in an optimal position for birth.

Using acupressure and/or acupuncture, cupping massage, foot massage and pelvic opening (using moxa to warm the pelvis and lower back) to encourage your baby and your body to begin labour. Aromatherapy, Bach, and homeopathic options can also be discussed. These 1.5 hours session in your home allow you to key into your body and relax, and also ask questions you may have at this time.

Released membranes and no contractions

Your membranes have released (broken waters), but you don't have contractions yet. Your midwife has confirmed that your membranes have released and the amniotic fluid is clear. If you are planning a home birth you have 24 hours for your labour to start before your care will be transferred to the hospital and you will have a hospital birth. If you were already planning to give birth in hospital you may have up to 72 hours for your labour to start.
